Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
Recipe 1
- 1 stick Butter, softened
- 1 stick Margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated white Sugar
- 3/4 cup packed Brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 2 extra large Egg
- 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups (12-ounce package) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels/Chips

Another variant (using the same procedure) is:
- 1/2 lb. unsalted butter, softened
- 5 1/2 brown sugar
- 5 oz granulated sugar
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 9 1/2 oz. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry ground Lemon or Orange peel (optional)
- 10-12 semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 5 oz. chopped nuts (optional)
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 375°the trick is to increase the amount of flour to 3+ cups, which should result in a fairly stiff dough, that will not spread out very much. This trick even works with whole wheat flour.
